Kindly double check and make one correction in the following definition of Sunnah you have quoted in your article.

“The Sunnah is a collection of sayings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions.”

The Sunnah is only the practices of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. is called Hadith. These both things the Sunnah and the Hadith are purely and solely belong to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while his companions are the followers of Sunnah and Hadith.

The definition you gave above is very broad which can acts of companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which are not sunnah at all.
