Company Free Shares Award - Not Shariah Compliant

A Muslim has been offered free shares (for the company he works for), as part of employees annual share incentive. However, the Zoya apps suggests that the shares are not Shariah-Compliant.

Is it correct to assume that this remuneration is haram, therefore should not be accepted?

Salaam and welcome, @EricFnB! The Ask Zoya video below may be helpful in answering your question.

@saad - Thank you posting the video. The shares offered, as part of the renumeration package, are not haram. As for the methodology used by Zoya to establish the Shariah-Non compliance of the company, I am not sure; but I guess it is something to do with Riba.
