Profit purification for active traders

Assalamu Alaikum

I wanted to ask the community how they handle purification if they actively trade stocks.

I understand if you hold on to a stock for a year you just assess everything (zakah, purification etc. through Zoya every Ramadan)? But what if I sold a stock a few days after buying it and made a profit? The money will of course be zakah-payable depending on what I do with it throughout the year but a portion of the profits need to be purified correct?

How do you all keep track of that? Do you all just keep track of the $ profit for every stock you buy and sell and continually keep track of purification? Seems like a ton of work so I thought I would ask you all and see what most folks do.

Salam,

The purification applies only to dividends, applying the percentage corresponding to the non-compliant income (and the questionnable one, depend on your opinion but thats what i do).
