If I sell shares of say abc company (I am the legal owner of these abc company shares with settlement full completed) and I receive cash today despite settlement after 2 days (meaning cash received today deapite settlement after 2 days). Can I use this cash received to buy shares of another company say xyz today itself? As otherwise that cash will stay in my account for interest earning (for 2 days till settlement of abc shares) which I don’t want.
In summary, am I the legal owner of this cash (actually received in my account today) despite settlement in 2 days?
